Reentry Interventions That Address Substance Use: A Systematic Review

Although it does not specifically break out opioid treatment, this article provides a brief analysis of previously completed studies of post jail/prison community reentry interventions addressing substance use. Of the interventions reviewed that directly provided treatment, slightly more than half provided evidence-based practices (EBPs), and over half of the studies found positive effects in the areas of substance use and/or recidivism among treatment participants.
