Reentry Best Practices for Individuals with Substance Use Disorders: A Course for Prosecutors
Welcome to JCOIN’s Course on Reentry Best Practices for Individuals with Substance Use Disorders. This course was developed by Addiction Policy Forum, the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA) and JCOIN to share the best practices that prosecutors can implement to ensure successful reentry for people who have substance use disorders.
The course takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and will cover topics from screening and assessment, evidence-based treatment, and release planning.

Participants will learn about screening and assessment for substance use disorders (SUD), withdrawal management, evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders, and essential components of reentry planning, including developing a relapse prevention plan.
