Objective 1: define “evidence-based/evidence-informed practices” (EBPs) and identify some EBPs for people with or at risk for opioid use disorder (OUD) or other substance use disorder (SUD)

Objective 2: gain a solid knowledge base that will inform advocacy for effective practices to address OUD/SUD

Objective 3: learn about training and technical assistance resources available through JCOIN that help with selecting and implementing interventions

Lessons learned will include defining substance use disorder (SUD)/opioid use disorder (OUD), understanding the root causes of the overdose crisis, identifying evidence-informed practices for treating SUD, and understanding barriers that prevent people from accessing treatment.
