Applying Implementation Science
Applying Implementation Science is a practical, 90-minute course designed to help professionals move from evidence to action in real-world settings.
Even when interventions are backed by strong research, they often fail to stick in everyday practice. This course introduces the tools of implementation science to help you identify what’s getting in the way—and what to do about it.
Through an interactive case study, learners will practice:
- Defining clear implementation challenges
- Selecting and applying frameworks such as CFIR, RE-AIM, and EPIS
- Choosing tailored implementation strategies using the ERIC taxonomy
- Balancing fidelity and adaptation with tools like FRAME
- Evaluating implementation outcomes using practical measurement approaches
By the end of the course, you will have built a focused, actionable implementation plan that you can apply in your own setting.
This course is ideal for researchers, clinicians, administrators, and change leaders who want practical, structured tools to make evidence-based practices work in complex, real-world environments.
This course was developed with the assistance and guidance of Sara Anderson, Chief Learning Architect at Slonky, LLC.
