Alaska Department of Health Course: Reentry Best Practices for Individuals with Substance Use Disorders
Welcome to JCOIN’s Course on Reentry Best Practices for Individuals with Substance Use Disorders. This course was developed by Addiction Policy Forum, the Alaska Department of Health, and JCOIN to share the best practices that correctional, community-based behavioral health, and probation and parole agencies can implement to ensure successful reentry for people with substance use disorders.
The course takes approximately 40 minutes to complete and will cover topics from screening and assessment, withdrawal management, medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), behavioral interventions, recovery capital, and developing a relapse prevention plan.
