1. We are happy to welcome Coralee Perez Pedrogo to the LEAP Investigator Group. Dr. Perez Pedrogo is PI for the first JCOIN Minority Supplement with the Yale HUB.
2. The 2021 ACCJH Conference will be virtual on April 8-10, 2021. You all have free registration. Although the Call for Papers is closed, we are flexible and if you have a new proposal to submit in these busy times, send me an email and I can get the portal opened for you. This is a peer-reviewed research and policy conference.
3. If anyone needs a consultation on quantitative methodology for a particular proposal or analysis, please let us know and we can get you hooked up with someone from the Data CTC for a consult. Taleed just took advantage of this and I hear she was very pleased with the outcome.
4. We have opened the call for applications for scholarships to the ACCJH conference. If you have a student, early career investigator colleague, community based stakeholder colleague or a criminal justice practitioner colleague who would appreciate coming to the conference, please spread the word. There are 8 scholarships available for each category. http://www.accjh.org/conference
5. We are also getting ready to open the next round of LEAP Investigator and Scholar applications. If you know of a colleague who you believe would value from this opportunity, please shoot me an email with contact information so we can reach out.

Next Scholar Session: Tomorrow, October 7, 2020, 4:00-5:00 pm ET

Our librarian, Becky Baltich-Nelson will be providing a training on literature review. Come prepared with a topic to be reviewed and try initiating a search on http://pubmed.gov You will learn more if you’ve tried to actively conduct a search.

Next Investigator Session: Tuesday, October 13, 3:30-5:00 PM

Please review and score the  the proposal that we had mailed to (and attached here) and score the proposal for Significance, Innovation and Approach. If possible, please send me your scores by Monday, October 12 so we can summarize them.
