JCOIN Announces Participating Investigators and Scholars for the 2020 Learning Experiences to Advance Practice (LEAP) Education Program

The Capacity Building Core, which is part of JCOIN’s Coordination and Translation Center (CTC), has launched the Learning Experiences to Advance Practice (LEAP) education program to support investigators and scholars with training and knowledge to conduct research and build research capacity within justice and health settings.

The LEAP Investigator program provides mentorship and training on research methods, proposal writing, and grant management skills that are key to conducting successful research studies in criminal justice settings. The LEAP Scholars program supports training on foundational research principles, e.g., study design, conceptual frameworks, subject recruitment, informed consent, fidelity monitoring, and data management.

Five investigators and ten scholars were selected to participate in the 2020-2021 program.
