Elevating Analytical Methods for Quality Research

In alignment with JCOIN’s mission of connecting investigators to study and disseminate evidence-informed approaches to treating substance use disorders in criminal-legal settings, the JCOIN TA offered through MAARC supports JCOIN research hubs and secondary data users in conducting quality research, facilitates the research process and enhances the quality and impact of JCOIN research and interventions. This page outlines resources and services available from MAARC to address requests related to various aspects of data access and analysis.

As part of its mission, MAARC offers information, guidance, and consultation with methodologic and subject-matter experts to address challenges that arise during the research process. The types of services and consultations provided through MAARC TA are outlined below.

How JCOIN MAARC TA Supports Research and The Community

JCOIN is dedicated to enhancing the interface between research and practical applications, particularly in the management of substance use disorders within justice and health systems. Through providing technical assistance on challenges that may arise when conducting research, MAARC TA aims to facilitate the research process and enhance the quality of the research produced. This research helps inform the base of knowledge surrounding management of substance use disorders in criminal-legal settings and will ultimately help inform future interventions and evidence-based approaches to treating substance use disorders in these systems.
