JEDI has launched a new website that showcases the EDI-related work accomplished at the JCOIN Research Centers, introduces the JEDI team, and features the speaker series.

To celebrate Juneteenth, the JEDI team is sharing an inspiring short documentary that aims to spark a national conversation about the language surrounding the opioid crisis, serving as a tool to raise awareness within Black communities. In collaboration with Seven Halsema, an experienced filmmaker from the Netherlands and a teacher at SHOOTERS, a digital media training program for the formerly incarcerated, Richard Patterson Jr., a multi-talented artist engaged in community research and crafted a thought-provoking film script. The documentary makers conducted interviews in Richard's North Philadelphia neighborhood to gauge the knowledge of opioids among the people he grew up with.
